Because I know I'll be heavily criticized for publishing this... About Me:

My name is Riley Adamson. rileyadamson.com

In my free time, I love making charts that explain complex things and thought it’d be a fun challenge to make one about Joseph Smith. My other charts are on topics like economics, particle physics and river systems. I’m not looking for fame, and I’m also not looking to hide. It’s nice to know my work is appreciated, but not what drives me to make things.

All of this was compiled in good faith to be as accurate as possible from pro-LDS sources. I’m not an expert in LDS history or Joseph Smith. If you find an error, please kindly let me know and I’ll do my best to correct it.

Talking about history points that are agreed on by Church Historians, BYU Professors and other leading apologists is not persecution. The glory of God is intelligence, or light and truth. There should be no interest in hiding the actions of his Prophets. I believe that history should be easily consumable and sharable -- even if it is not faith promoting or useful.

I imagine members will say “You only cherrypicked the negative things.”

Well, are they accurate? Shouldn’t the Work of God be the most scrutinizable and durable things of all history? No facts should be able to slow the Work of God.

I believe in religious freedom. I hope that you're well informed about your religion as it makes everyone better. More informed members are better missionaries and better neighbors. I believe more information and perspective typically makes you more thoughtful and compassionate.

If something here is scary or hurts your feelings, I'm genuinely sorry. Please take time to process. Please don’t shoot the messenger -- I have no interest in challenging your religious views.
